SMAD logos

The School of Media Arts & Design at JMU has struggled to maintain recognizable imagery over the years. For my print design class I developed multiple versions of a logo before eventually narrowing in on a simplified design. We also had to create simple icons for each concentration within the school: Digital Video & Cinema, Creative Advertising (The Integrated Advertising and Corporate Communication), Converged Media (Interactive Design), and Journalism. The final step was to create a mockup of a business card that SMAD professors and employees could use. My card stuck with traditional JMU colors of purple and gold, but used gold foil to fill in the text and logo on the card.
